Some thoughts about Raven #1

Can Raven truly adapt to this world?

Raven has just found she has another family aside from his father's and is decided to make this work despite that her own nature might get in the way.

Marv Wolfman returns to one of the characters closest to him. Seeing how he created Raven during his New Teen Titans run one would think that he has the right chops to create a new direction for her right?

Well, he kinda does but his own skills can be a problem.

Wolfman puts Raven in a new environment (not exactly "new" though since this has happened a few times in the past) where she has to act like a normal girl in high school and get along with her new family. Some aspects here work like the way how Raven's powers are handled, showing her own empathic nature and the way how her abilities are used is interesting enough and the premise of her having a normal life is usually sound.

The thing is that Wolfman's dialogue can be a bit awkward at times, particularly when is about young people. They do speak in some awkward manners, it doesn't happen all the time but when it does, they almost sound like caricatures of kids.

Alisson Borges handles the artwork and is beautiful, she has a great sense of style for the characters and the storytelling is pretty vibrant.

Decent I would say despite of the flaws. Let's see how it goes.
