Some thoughts about Transformers #57

There's a threat coming and they need to prepared for it.

Sentinel Prime has revealed his true origins and plans to Optimus and has warned them that this is far from the end. How will they handle this?

As far as endings go, I thought this was a pretty solid one.

John Barber brings the final chapter of this book by focusing on the conflict between Optimus and Sentinel and how everything that has been happening recently is connected. The way how the plot-points are handled is compelling and also brings new ones that will most likely be developed in the upcoming Optimus Prime series. The characterization is equally as good with several of the members of the cast receiving good moments, especially Optimus and Soundwave.

More importantly, this issue is successful at creating actual closure to the story (which sadly doesn't happen too often in this line). The characters receive the logical finale they deserve while also leaving the door open for new stories which is the proper way how an ending should be executed.

Livio Ramondelli is in charge of the art and is decent. The storytelling is not the best at times but the distinctive style compensates for it.

Pretty enjoyable. Hoep the new series follows this.
