Some thoughts about All-New X-Men #13

The X-Men and Inhumans are about to face each other... but not before a party.

Bobby is trying to meet new people with the same interests as his but he will soon realize is more complicated than he thought, especially once that monsters start attacking the place.

Guess what? Yet another issue dedicated to character work!

And I can't help but still enjoy it.

Dennis Hopeless offers a new chapter where he focuses on Iceman, Idie and Evan and their quest to try to find Bobby a boyfriend. Is an overall well-depicted and interesting little story about a Gay young man who is from another era where homosexuality wasn't as accepted as it is now and the writer actually addresses that by making Bobby pretty oblivious about what to do in times like these. The dialogue works nicely to convey the idea due to how natural is.

The rest of the characters also have nice moments like Evan who is still dealing with the ramifications of the last story where he was forced to abandon his other version. The encounter with the Inhumans is obviously teasing the upcoming event that is going to happen between the two franchises.

Mark Bagley remains in art duties and his work is still quite solid with expressive characters and vibrant action scenes.

Continues to be entertaining. Wonder what they will do with the next event?
