Can Wonder Woman work along her brother?
Jason has returned and is decided to help Diana in her search for Darkseid but even that might not be enough.
Well, this didn't work so well sadly.
Remember when I said that James Robinson is at his best when he explores obscure characters and concepts instead of forcing the Darkseid plot-point into this book? Well, this issue is mostly about the latter sadly. The story completely revolves around Darkseid, Grail and Jason, and how all of them are connected in a way that most certainly will be explored in upcoming issues. The thing is that I don't feel like this chapter progressed much of that plot either, there are just a few revelations about Darkseid's plans.
This whole run smells of editorial mandate to be honest. They needed someone to handle the whole return of Darkseid and I guess Robinson thought he could at least do it in a way where he implements some of the ideas he likes. The result is clearly not the best.
Jesus Merino is fine as usual, nothing great but nothing bad, serviceable.
I don't think people should bother with this. Skip.
