Is the Afterspark real?
Rodimus and his crew have arrived to a strange place where their dead friends are and the only way to escape is by talking to the most important people in the universe.
This came out sooner than expected and I'm glad it did.
James Roberts offers a new installment where he plays with the cliffhanger from issue 13 where the Lost Light found themselves in a strange situation and now they have suddenly appeared in what seems to be the Afterspark. The best part of this issue is the character work due that many of the members of the cast start questioning themselves about their beliefs while others react accordingly due to being in such mythical place. The fanservice is also quite enjoyable due to the appearance of characters we haven't seen in a while while also confirming that some of them actually died.
A few issues here though since, while the development is pretty strong, Roberts' usual ticks can ruin the moment at times, particularly when he feels the necessity to add a joke in what should be a serious moment of self-reflection. This doesn't affect the chapter as a whole but is still noticeable.
Jack Lawrence returns to art duties and, while I'm complained about some of the comedic moments, his art is perfect for those scenes due to the expressions he provides for the characters.
Solid read overall, hope the next one arrives soon.
