Can the future be changed?
One of Zatanna's friends saved her life but with a cost and that could affect their fate.
Well, this seems like a satisfying conclusion for now at least.
Alisa Kwitney concludes this book by delivering a few twists here and there but there are still a few questions unanswered. The characterization is once again one of the shining elements of this story thanks to the solid interaction between the cast accompanied by natural dialogue and fun scenarios. The plot also manages to escalate decently and offers a few surprises including the possible future of one of the characters which also gives a new amount of depth that wasn't really present in her before.
That being said, the whole "changing the past" premise the series had was pretty much untouched and we still haven't seen what truly happened in the future or how this is going to alter what is bound to occur. Is a conclusion that works fine enough but is pretty obvious that the writer is planning to make yet another series with in this universe and as it is, I wish there were more revelations.
Mike Norton handles the art and is really solid thanks to his clean style and expressive characters that are adequately mixed with the supernatural events.
Enjoyable overall, hope the next series is good too.
