Michael Cray will have to face a God.
Arthur Curry has been causing death everywhere and Michael will have to find the best way to stop him once for all.
Yep, this is still not working.
I had a bit of hope during the last issue because the set-up was interesting enough, more interesting than with the last couple of villains at least, but of course the conclusion of this arc ended-up being botched because Bryan Hill can't write a decent villain to save his life. Just like Oliver Queen and Barry Allen, Arthur Curry doesn't present a really compelling motive to become a mass murderer, he just says "these people treat me like a God" and that should be enough for readers to accept his homicides, he doesn't work as a character at all, hell, he doesn't even work as a powerful threat since he's beaten rather quickly.
Worst of all is that what makes this even more disappointing is that we're wasting time in evil versions of the heroes from the DCU instead of exploring what makes the Wildstorm universe unique which is what I was hoping for since The Wild Storm book written by Warren Ellis is taking an eternity to go somewhere. I could have accepted this if at least the stories were good but they're quite underwhelming at best.
N. Steven Harris remains in art duties and his work is still pretty rough and is not like the storytelling is the best to compensate.
Pretty lackluster overall but I'm just going to see if the evil version of Constantine is entertaining.
