Some thoughts about Superman #37

The future is going to destroy the present.

Tim Drake from an alternate timeline is back and is willing to kill yet another person to prevent his future to happen.

A new crossover has started and so far is a pretty promising one.

Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleason open this new storyline with a bang with Tim Drake from the Titans Tomorrow timeline reappearing. The characterization is pretty solid since the writer don't go for the heavyhanded way and depict Bruce's reaction is a pretty solid and natural manner considering everything that has happened so far. Speaking from a meta level, this works fantastically since the writers comment about how predictable Future Tim's actions tend to be and seeing Bruce's kicking the ass of James Tynion IV's Tim is a plus.

The way how Superman reacts to this situation is also pretty logical and the way how he contemplates his recent events about his family makes a lot of sense.

Jorge Jimenez in charge of the pencils and his work continues to be stellar thanks to his powerful storytelling and vibrant character designs.

Excellent opening, now onto Super Sons.
