Is Batman still able to protect Gotham City?
Bruce is about to lose one of his loved ones and that might push him towards the edge. Meanwhile, the Joker is gathering an bigger army to do his job.
All the plans are coming into fruition.
Sean Murphy offers a new installment where he continues to develop all the key players in the story. Most of the attention goes to Batman this time and we start to realize both how different and how similar he is from the usual. Murphy plays with the idea that there's one character that has always kept Bruce in check and that extends to his whole family, you can actually see how this makes sense and could actually work in current continuity (Mind you, some of the other portrayals might be a bit extreme). Quite interesting as a whole.
Speaking about the plot, this mostly seemed like a set-up issue since most of the characters are just getting prepared for the next big event. Not to say that little is happening here since we see the introduction of a new antagonist that will most likely become really relevant in upcoming issues. The solid dialogue makes all the scenes flow pretty well.
Murphy's own artwork continues to shine in every segment thanks to his great style and storytelling.
Solid overall, hope the next one offers more progression though.
