The New Super-Man will have to find the balance to win.
Kenan is feeling lost without I-Ching but he will soon realize that everything that he has been looking for has been in him all this time.
Gene Luen Yang's run concludes here and I must admit that he does it in a way that is pretty satisfying overall.
I was pretty critical of the beginning of his run since he made Kenan as a quite unlikable character but it all makes sense now, not really because of the character development since that was a given but because of how is all centered on theme for this story. The way how the worldbuilding has been implemented makes a fantastic expansion of this particular universe, about how the history between I-Ching and his brother is all connected to Kenan and his personal journey to realize how both chaos and order can coexist inside of him.
This delivers a pretty solid finale which brings closure to many of the plot-points the author created during this title and highlights the idea that even bullies can become heroes if they try it. Plus, the story also offers new plot-points for the future.
Brent Peeples remains in art duties and once again, his work is not really beautiful but he does decent storytelling at least.
Great read, hope the next creative team is able to follow this.
