Who killed Superwoman?
That's the question that Lana Lang has been asking after Lois was apparently murdered by a bizarre creature and now is up to her to find the culprit.
Once again, this series delivers in every front.
Phil Jimenez offers a new chapter where he continues to explore the mystery behind Lois' disappearance and how that affects Lana. The character work is pretty good with Lana immediately reacting for the loss of her friend in a pretty logical way based on her history of constantly losing her loved ones. However, every other member from the cast also get solid moments, including Steel, his niece Natasha who is introduced as the usual young genius, and Lex Luthor whose contribution to the story is stronger than expected.
The plot progresses nicely with the connection between the disappearance of Clark and Lois being explored and how that is related to the theme of Rebirth. This works better than in Detective Comics this week due that this has been something that has been investigated since the death of New 52 Superman and the consequences for the characters who were close to him feels real. The reveal about the villain was also interesting.
Jimenez' artwork continues to be pretty solid with expressive characters and strong storytelling that is able to pack a lot of content in every page.
Great issue and I hope to see more of this soon.
