Artemis has just appeared and her only mission is to retrieve an ancient weapon that might have something to do with Black Mask. Now Jason will need to try his best to don't let anyone get killed here including himself.
Surprisingly still enjoying this quite a bit.
Scott Lobdell offers a new chapter where he nicely reintroduces Artemis and quickly presents her new status quo and mission. The characterization is pretty good since the author manages to explore a lot of aspects from her personality, past and a bit of her relationship with Wonder Woman which creates a compelling new member of the cast pretty quickly.
Her interactions with Jason are also entertaining and their personalities contrast perfectly. Despite that in many instances I have problems with Lobdell's dialogue, I have to say that it works solidly here and creates a mostly natural and enjoyable dynamic.
Dexter Soy is one of the biggest stars here by being able to create beautiful scene after beautiful scene with great looking characters and moments that are huge in scale.
Pretty good issue, Lobdell is on a roll now.
