One way or another everything ends here.
Red Alert has been manipulated for a while and the mastermind has finally be revealed. Now is up to Prowl and Fortress Maximus to try to save him and the rest of their race.
Well, this is it. The ending of a title that started great... and sadly ended-up losing its quality after its first Season.
And unfortunately this last issue is yet another proof of that.
It would be unfair to say that MTMTE completely lost it after Season 1 though, I did enjoy half of Season 2 and some of the stories were still pretty entertaining but speaking about conclusions as themselves, they clearly became less and less satisfying.
In this issue for example, James Roberts continues to play with the event Titans Return and some of the aspects of it are fun. The characterization that brings some old plot-points back is enjoyable and the interaction between the members of the cast is compelling at times. However, some of the characters are borderline caricatures like Sentinel Prime who is blatantly portrayed as an one-dimensional homophobe (which seems kinda fitting but is still blunt as hell) and Prowl who remains a douche for a great part of the story and has a forced segment where he, once again, flips the table (it was fun the first time but now not so much). Once again, I have to give credit to Nick Roche's portrayal of Prowl in Sins of the Wreckers which gives the character more depth, Roberts on the other hand, continues to treat him like a joke.
Plus, this is simply not great as a finale for the title. I wish we would have seen more of the actual cast of the book but we just got a mention. Nothing else.
Priscilla Tramontano remains in art duties and her work is yet again, serviceable at best. Some of the characters look awkward and the storytelling is not that clear.
Was expecting a bit more to be honest. Hope the upcoming Lost Light series delivers that.
