The Future Flash has arrived to the scene that changed his life.
The Reverse-Flash has to be stopped no matter the cost if Barry wants to save both Iris and Wally but even if he manages to accomplish it, he will still have to face the person he used to be. Now, whatever happens at the end, the world will still need a Flash.
I was expecting this read for a while so let's say what worked and what didn't.
For one, the confrontation between Future Flash and The Reverse-Flash goes exactly the way you could anticipate but the real battle is the one between present time Barry and future Barry. This occurs in the 5 years later setting of Futures End of course and both Robert Venditti and Van Jensen manage to tell a story exploiting that kind of scenario correctly.
However, I wish there would have been more scenes with Wally as The Flash. Despite of how it was teased in the cover, Wally just obtains super speed for a few segments and his role as The Flash was only teased.
Now, Brett Booth has done a pretty good job at bringing the kinetic feel of the battle in the artwork which is a great moments thanks to his vibrant and energetic style.
Overall, this was still a solid issue, I just wish there would have been a bit more.
