Whatever happened to Batwing?
The organization Leviathan has been gaining control over the world and is reuniting some of the most terrible villains to work with them, but not all it what it seems and Batwing will need the aid of the rest of Batman Inc. to stop them once for all.
This issue marks the conclusion of both Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray on this title and I would say that it's a pretty appropriate one.
The work has not been easy since they had to replace the first Batwing, David Zambimbe, with their own creation Luke Fox, but despite of such change they proved that they could write entertaining stories with this new character.
This final chapter is no different since they continue to use the same concepts they did over the course of their run like the different characters from Batman Inc. and the villains that Luke has encountered during his travels and I'm glad they brought all that for this issue (There was guy who had a gun for face and kept screaming for murder, holy crap!). It closes the door perfectly.
The final moments were also well-implemented segments that also bring the character in full circle.
Eduardo Pansica draws this issue and his work manages to capture all the bizarre and action moments, it was a quite solid style.
Futures End continues to deliver another satisfying ending. Congrats to the authors for this finale.
