The final battle against Brainiac is finally here.
Superman has been doing his best to try to control his Doomsday persona but now they will have to use it if he wants to stop the current threat which could create huge ramifications for all existence.
Okay, I couldn't say anymore without spoiling stuff.
First of all, the pacing is a little off. The story jumps from time to time with no rest and at times you can't figure where this is exactly taking place.
However, it still delivers some pretty good moments. I especially enjoyed the revelation about the identity of this Brainiac which certainly brings interesting possibilities to the table. There are some good moments for the rest of the cast.
Nonetheless, the best part from this issue comes in the last page with a tease about something huge that is upcoming and is connected to the whole history of the DCU.
A crisis is definitely coming.
The pencils are shared between Ken Lashley, Szimon Kudranski, Cory Smith, Dave Bullock, Jack Herbert, Ian Churchill, Aaron Kuder and Vicente Cifuentes. They all maintain a consistent look over the course of the story but the strongest moments are brought by Lashley, Churchill and especially Kuder on that last page.
Overall, it was an okay conclusion but you most likely will just want to see the final segment of it.
