The Justice League is about to face the most powerful beings in the universe, no matter if their possibilities to win are minimal.
Martian Manhunter have been trying to contain all the super villains in prison but not even his abilities are enough to stop the power of Captain Atom who has gained the powers of a God and is decided to act as such.
This is exactly what I call a satisfying conclusion.
Jeff Lemire manages to use all his imagination to deliver a great battle between the forces of the Justice League against classic antagonists like Killer Frost, Count Vertigo and Gorilla Grodd while at the same time giving enough characterization to all them.
The aspect which surprised me the most was Captain Atom's characterization though. I'm a huge fan of the character and while he's presented as the villain here, his portrayal is quite interesting due that the writer exploits his whole potential as an uber powerful being, the ending was also quite logical based on the kind of person he is.
If anything this made me realize that I want a Captain Atom series written by Lemire.
Jed Dougherty continues in art duties and his work is exactly the same as in the previous chapter. Not that attractive but still manages to tell story fine.
Excellent ending for this little storyline. Great job.
