Booster Gold is about to face a future he never anticipated.
Michael has been lost in the timelines for a while and now he's about to meet a future version of him who might have some answers but their encounter will only create more questions.
Goddammit, I had high hopes for this one.
Dan Jurgens creates a tale about how Michael is lost in not only different eras but also in different universes. The problem is that the pacing jumps constantly over the course of the issue and the dialogue can be pretty forced and dated at times.
Not to mention that there's not many explanations about what's currently happening since we don't exactly know the kind of Booster Golds who appear here nor the threat they're facing.
There are some good moments though since we see a lot of different places from the multiverse but those were pretty short sadly.
The art is handled by Jurgens himself along with Ron Frenz, Brett Booth, Will Conrad, Steve Lightle, Stephen Johnson, Mark Irwin and Scott Hanna. All of them manage to maintain a consistent look during the chapter but Booth's work was definitely the strongest.
Overall, this was just a poorly told story and I hope they don't follow this kind of style if they ever launch a Booster Gold series again.
