Some thoughts about Justice League Annual #2

How can the Justice League beat their own headquarters?

The Hall of Justice has gone out of control and is attacking the team now and their only way to survive is to depend on each other.

It's a pleasent surprise that all the Annuals this week were focusing on standalone stories.

Robert Venditti returns to the title to tell yet another simple, yet enjoyable story. Just as his little run, this Annual is more about personal moments and this is pretty obvious based on how heavy the team theme is emphasized here. There's something controlling the Hall of Justice and the League needs to work together to try to figure out who or what it is. It's pretty entertaining to see all the characters using their own different strengths with each other and how their interactions are based on that.

The references are also a nice touch like how the Hall of Justice uses their defenses against their own enemies against them or how the Supermobile of all things appears here ("It was a different time"). All of this concluding in a fitting manner.

Aaron Lopresti is also back with expressive characters and a clean style.

Good read, Venditti can do good work.
