Some thoughts about Red Hood: Outlaw #40

Can Generation Outlaw survive?

Jason is trying to protect his students from their worst fate and now he will have to deal with his own old friends too.

Way better than the last one.

Scott Lobdell delivers a new chapter where he explores more about this whole cast. The character work is really strong all-around with the relationships between Jason and the students being emphasized and we learn more about each one of them, what motivates them and what are their own thoughts about the future. Considering that these are all brand new characters, I must say that Lobdell did a pretty good job at making you invested in them.

The story also shows some progress due that we finally see the reunion between Jason, Artemis and Bizarro which turns out to be not as positive as expected and this is something that promises interesting developments for upcoming issues.

David Messina handles the art and I would say is a bit cartoony for the tone of the story but still follows the script nicely and shows good expressions.

Good read, hope the next one continues this trend.
