Some thoughts about Batgirl #41

Burnside has been taken by Oracle.

Barbara has been completely defeated and the only way she can face her former identity is by rethinking her whole life.

Things are escalating nicely.

Cecil Castellucci offers a new installment that offers both character work and plot progression. The segments focusing on Babs' perspective are pretty well-done due that the writer emphasizes her current struggles concerning her defeat by Oracle as well as her desire to become stronger to fight her once again and save her city. I would say that is a kind of "Born Again" segment and works appropriately in that regard.

The story moves at a nice pace due that the other members of the cast play an important role, especially Jason Bard whose connection to Oracle is related to their own hate for Batgirl which will most likely lead to interesting developments in the future. The issue offers a lot of content in that regard.

Carmine Di Giandomenico handles the art and is once again pretty solid thanks to the unique artstyle and clear expressions.

Good read, hope the next one continues this trend.
