Some thoughts about Worlds' Blandest #24

Can Power Girl and Huntress finally return home?

Power Girl is helping some people to energize their reactors while Huntress is trying to stop some random criminal from creating a lot of chaos in the city...

You know what? Let's stop pretending that there's actually a plot on this title.

Let's focus on what actually happens: Nothing. Karen and Helena just do some random stuff for God knows what reason, it's pretty obvious at this point that Paul Levitz is just stalling the title until both characters return to Earth 2 (or what will remain of it), but the thing is that Levitz was already doing that before and the result here is an issue that drags even more than usual.

Oh, but that's not the worst part. As usual, that honor belongs to Power Girl's characterization, this line of dialogue defines her completely:

"You're on your own".

This is what she says to Huntress when she's risking her life trying to stop someone from causing damage, this is exactly the problem with this portrayal, she simply doesn't care. However, that's not the only bad example of her character, you will see several here.

Scott McDaniel continues to bring good art with a pretty dynamic style that emphasizes on expressions and action, it's a shame that he's not enough to save this story.

Outstandingly mediocre issue. Well, at least this title is consistent on that.
