Some thoughts about Red Lanterns #32

Atrocitus has just strike back not even the combined forces of the Red Lanterns might be able to stop him.

Guy Gardner is finally understanding the ramifications of his actions as the leader of the Red Lanterns but it could be too late since Atrocitus is decided to recover the control of his group no matter what, even if he has to destroy half of it.

Charles Soule continues to deliver one of the most satisfying reads in this title.

The characterization is perfect as usual. The writer is currently delivering one of the most complex portrayals of Guy Gardner ever, I really enjoy how the character is being developed and evolving as person who can reflect on his own mistakes.

The comparisons between Guy and Atrocitus' leaderships are pretty compelling too. Guy treats his group more like a band while Atrocitus treats them like a cult, it's a nice contrast between both beliefs and one that certainly will present an interesting dynamic during this storyline.

The rest of the cast continues to be pretty entertaining too and full of personality. Although I must say that I'm going to miss one of them.

Jim Calafiore is on art duties for this issue and his work is perfect for it. His detailed characters and settings are great here, not to mention that his storytelling skills are quite refined.

Excellent issue, this new arc has a pretty good start.
