Some thoughts about Batman and Ra's Al Ghul #32

Batman and Frankenstein will need to stop Ra's Al Ghul before it's too late.

The Demon has decided to resurrect Talia and Damian using his own Lazarus Pit but Batman knows that's not the right way to deal with the corpse of his son no matter how much he wants him back. However, there may be strongest forces than Ra's Al Ghul that want him back to life.

This is the conclusion of the "Hunt for Robin" arc and basically a prologue to the "Robin: Rises" upcoming storyline.

The story itself works fine. Peter Tomasi does a solid job at portraying all the characters appearing here including Batman, Ra's and Frankenstein. The dialogue works well enough too but at times it can become a little cliche and predictable instead of serving as strong moments.

I must say that the last page was pretty unexpected but not exactly in the "good" kind of way. It was pretty random honestly since I don't remember any segment during the arc that hint that they were going to take that direction so it felt a bit out of place. It might explain the upcoming resurrection of Damian though.

Patrick Gleason continues to deliver some of the best aspects of this series on art which is both horrific and marvelous at the same time. There's so much detail and creativity here that brings a lot of personality to the story.

Decent issue but I don't think it worked as well as I was expecting.
