What does the Phantasm want?
Batman and Catwoman are trying to figure out the vigilante's next victim and all of this seems to be connected to the Joker both in the past and the future.
This series continues and is interesting at the very least.
Tom King delivers a new chapter where he plays with the parallels between the present and a possible future. The first thing that you will notice are the multiple references to King's Batman run which is usually a bad thing but to be fair, the writer manages to get a few compelling developments from them like the mention of possible other weddings for Selina and the Porky Pig homage from the Looney Tunes crossover.
The plot progresses very slowly which is not surprising coming from King but the character moments are fine and there are enough hints to make this mystery intriguing despite of how simple it is. Also, if there's something I appreciate about King's Batman, the very little I appreciate from it, is that he doesn't portray the Joker as this overly-important and unstoppable force which, after enduring Scott Snyder's and James Tynion IV's work, is a breath of fresh air.
Clay Mann's art is really beautiful, the characters might seem a bit stiff but the storytelling is clear and precise.
Fine read, hope there's more progression in the next one.
