Can Hal Jordan fight despite of his injuries?
Hal is trying to recover after his last fight but there's not enough time since the Qwa-Man is back to finish the job.
Hey, another solid issue right here.
Grant Morrison offers a new installment where he puts every character at risk. The premise is about the return of Qwa-Man at a time when Hal is not even able to fight him. Mind you, I never thought that Qwa-Man was really interesting per se but here he gets the job done as basically an unstoppable force that destroys everything and everyone on his path (Which is pretty much the kind of antagonist that Morrison is accustomed to). The sense of escalation is pretty solid since the danger keeps increasing at each time with each member of the Corps falling one by one until there's no hope left.
I have to mention too that Morrison keeps bringing all the romantic interests that Hal ever had in the form of Nurse Olaqua who is actually a bizarre alien created by Morrison himself. Mind you, she's retconned to had been with Hal in the past but this allows for an interesting look into Hal since he's seemingly not really limited to humans or human-like beings in terms of love. The issue ends in a pretty interesting note and really made me laugh.
Liam Sharp remains in art duties and his work is still incredibly detailed and is able to depict each scene in the most accurate way possible. He's a good fit for Morrison's work.
Good read, hope the next one arrives soon.
