Some thoughts about Suicide Squad #8

What is the origin of the revolutionaries?

Aerie and Wink can't help but remember what brought them to the Suicide Squad just in time when Ted Kord is about to do his next move.

Yeah, another reason why I don't particularly like this run.

Tom Taylor offers a new chapter where, guess what? His new characters get even more of the spotlight! Yes, yes, I understand that characters that are recently introduced need to reveal their backgrounds but this is a common theme of Taylor's work and it comes at the expense of the classic characters once again (and is not like he gets the classic cast particularly well either).

Again, the story of Aerie and Wink are not bad per se and offers good character moments between the two but it also comes with the typical Taylor political commentary (Meaning very shallow) which just makes me roll my eyes. However, it seems like Ted Kord might not actually be the real Ted Kord at least?

Daniel Sampere handles the art and is pretty good looking with expressive characters and precise storytelling.

Not bad, but the not the direction I prefer.
