Some thoughts about Wonder Woman #761

Who is truly controlling Wonder Woman?

Diana believes Maxwell Lord is behind her recent hallucinations but she will have to face the truth and see who the real culprit is.

Thank God this didn't go for the predictable route.

Mariko Tamaki offers a new chapter where she delivers some revelations. I always thought that making Maxwell Lord the actual villain of the story was too predictable and I'm glad that Tamaki thought so too. In fact, this allows for an interesting interaction between Diana and him since they're dynamic has been usually as enemies and is good to know that the author respects continuity to reference Lord's role in the Justice League Vs. Suicide Squad miniseries.

The hallucinations continue to provide few fun scenes concerning Wonder Woman's enemies and all of this leads up to an intriguing enough cliffhanger that should provide compelling developments.

Carlo Barberi handles the art and he's no Mikel Janin but he still does a pretty solid job with an energetic style that depicts a lot of detail and expression.

Good read, hope the next one follows this trend.
