Some thoughts about Action Comics #1024

Did Superman just solve one of the biggest mysteries in Metropolis?

The Red Cloud has taken a new victim and this has prompted Clark to finally figure out who is behind her organization.

Well, at least there's some progression this time I guess.

Brian Bendis offers a new chapter where finally puts Superman in conflict with Red Cloud and the people who have been working with her all this time. The biggest question here is: Why the hell did it took so long for Bendis to do this? This has been a running plot-point pretty much since the beginning of his run and it took him two dozens of issues to get there and is not like this came from Clark's own proactivity but because a character close to him (a character who Bendis created and just killed but that I completely forgot about because she mattered very little in the grand scheme of things) was murdered by Red Cloud and that forced Clark to finally act. It feels like everything else was just padding.

Another thing that bothers me is that I completely hate how Bendis writes every character in the Superman family that is not Superman. Jon, Conner, Supergirl, all of them sound rather annoying but hey, I guess they at least contribute to progressing this story.

JRJR remains in art duties and his work is still competent thanks to his clear storytelling.

Not sure what to think about this but I guess is good to finally getting somewhere.
