Some thoughts about Hawkman #26

Is this the end for Hawkman and Hawkwoman?

The Lord Beyond the Void is willing to take the lives of Carter and Shiera for the last time but this might be too much for even him.

A little predictable but not without merit.

Robert Venditti brings a conclusion to this storyline and there are a few interesting things about it. Let's take this out of the way, the final fight against The Lord Beyond the Void is rather quick and is not really satisfying, for an antagonist that has been hinted for such a long time, I was expecting a more compelling resolution for him but alas, that didn't happen. There are no surprises here.

That being said, Venditti compensates it with his character work due that the final interactions between the Hawks is pretty well-done, particularly their last decision concerning their reincarnations, showing how much they love each other. Plus, the cliffhanger is one of the most intriguing that I've seen in this book so far.

Fernando Pasarin handles the art and the storytelling and character expressions are really on-point.

Decent read, hope the one is even better.
