What is the secret of Aquaman's Trident?
Superboy is trying to get used to the life in the future and with the Legion but things might get too complicated unless he starts seeing familiar faces.
Yeah, this is not working for me.
Brian Bendis delivers a new installment where he explores more about the team and setting but doesn't do a particularly good job at it. I have never been a big fan of the Legion so Bendis didn't need to do a great job or respect characterization (which he usually doesn't do) to grab me but I just dislike his writing here because of his usual dialogue. The "Bendis talk" is pretty prominent here with word balloons jumping from one another constantly, characters speaking very similarly with each other and just overwritten narration all-around with pretty cringey lines here and there. There's a bit of insight about the future but is not enough to make me invested into it.
I have been a big fan of Jon Kent though and let's just say that Bendis keeps failing at writing him since he makes him way too bland and his voice just sounds unexciting, something that Jon shouln't ever be.
Ryan Sook handles the art and is a shame that the script is not more interesting since his work is fantastic here, really beautiful with colorful artstyle and I would totally read a Legion book with him if only it had a better story.
Dropped. Not excited about the future.
