Some thoughts about Justice League #37

How can the Justice League fight back?

Perpetua continues to destroy universes and it seems like nothing can stop her but the power of one her sons might give the team a chance.

Kinda more of the same but at least the escalation to the conclusion is adequate.

Scott Snyder is about to close the door on his work on Justice League and is preparing everyone for the final battle. Perpetua's level of threat continues to seem huge due to the destruction of yet another interesting looking universe but again, the lack of personality she has is not enough to make you invested in her aside from her power level.

The battles have a good sense of scale, particularly the beginning but the erratic nature of Snyder's script makes things a bit too fast and clunky leaving very little time to appreciate the actual good moments. Not to mention that one of the characters Snyder created dies here and it's rather underwhelming since, again, he didn't much of a personality aside from his power level.

Jorge Jimenez' art is magnificent though, being able to depict the epic moments in the best way possible although the pacing kinda hurts his work.

Not bad, not great. Just wait for the end.
