Whatever happened to Donna Troy?
Donna has been trying to keep control of the Titans and herself but the infection of The Batman who Laughs might unleash all the anger she kept hidden.
Another tie-in is here and thankfully, it works nicely enough.
Zoe Quinn handles this one-shot by exploring how Donna ended-up this way. The story is situated after the frustrated Dan Abnett's Titans run and in fact, uses most of the characters from his last failed direction. The focus goes to Donna obviously as we see her struggles as a leader, being compared to Nightwing and how that affects her own psyche which is something more complex than we have seen from previous tie-ins and I appreciate it.
The writer also implements the history of the character appropriately since Quinn uses the multiple incarnations of Donna as a plot-point while also referencing the erratic nature of the Titans which explains why Donna was so easy to be corrupted and is understandable.
Brent Peeple's art is not so successful since is not the best to look at as expected but still works in terms of storytelling.
Decent read, hope things continue this way.
