How can Batman stop Azrael?
Jean-Paul Valley is obsessed with taking over the city and now Bruce will have to trust his worst enemy if he wants to have a chance against him.
Another issue, another solid chapter.
Sean Murphy brings a new installment where he continues the rise of Azrael in many ways. The backstory of the Waynes in Gotham is further explored, giving the antagonist an understandable reason for his actions and prepares Bruce for what's about to come but, while the plot is interesting enough, what makes this issue shine are the character dynamics as usual.
There are a lot of interesting moments concerning the cast which include the encounter between Harley and Joker/Jack which complicates the already complex relationship even more, particularly because of Harley's recently born children and creates a really tense scenario between the two and that's without adding Bruce into the mix. The action is also well-paced and escalates things appropriately towards the end when a famous Jean-Paul Valley appearance is introduced.
Murphy's art continues to amaze with strong and detailed grim and gritty style that depicts the story perfectly.
Great read, can't wait for the next one.
