The relationship between the Runaways is getting stronger.
Nico will have to find her own feelings for Karolina and Gert will have to explore new ones.
This series excels at what is good at once again.
Rainbow Rowell offers a new installment where she explores the relationship between two particular couples. The past between Nico and Karolina is once again featured involving a really important scene that fans of the team will remember. Mind you, this continues to be a bit of a problem for me because of everything that Nico did after such moment, mainly the fact that she continually ignored Karolina feelings and yet acted strangely jealous whenever she had a girlfriend, and the fact that they forced Karolina to end her previous relationship mostly to be with Nico rubs me the wrong way. Still, this is handled decently enough overall so let's see how it goes.
There's a surprising segment between Gert and Victor which reveals a few interesting scenes, is logically done and promises to create a bit of conflict in the future. Hope is executed properly.
Kris Anka remains in art duties and his work continues to shine thanks to the beautiful style and characters.
Solid read, the character development is certainly strong despite that the story itself doesn't progress much but I expect that from this book at this point.
