Who is trying to incriminate Superman?
Clark is investigating the reasons behind the most recent murder and why someone wants people to believe that Superman is culprit of it but he will find a person that he wasn't expecting.
Okay, this worked much better than the last one.
While Brian Bendis' initial chapter was decent enough, this one offers much more from every different angle. For one, the humour is even more prominent here but is a much better executed humour based on multiple scenes that surprise you based on the characters they have and how they decide to use them.
Speaking of those characters, there are quite a few returning classic Superman characters including Cat Grant and The Guardian who are implemented into the story in an interesting way. The way how Clark handles the investigation is mostly comedic in tone but still presents a few intriguing plot-points while the main story progresses at a nice pace thanks to the amount of content the issue has and even offers a solid cliffhanger.
Patrick Gleason handles the art and is beautiful as expected. Fantastic looking characters and precise storytelling the makes the script even better.
Great read, hope it continues this way.
