Superman will have to deal with one of his biggest challenges yet: Marital problems.
Frankenstein has captured an intergalactic criminal but his Bride wants to take the bounty for herself. Now is up to Superman to try to make them remember what matters the most.
Well, this was both charming and heartbreaking at the same time.
Peter Tomasi and Patrick Gleason conclude this little story focusing on the team-up between Superman and Frankenstein by particularly devoting the story to the latter and his relationship with his ex-wife. The writers seem to be fans of the character and have followed his continuity perfectly by presenting in a way that respects every appearance he had up to date.
Not only that but his relationship with his ex is one of the shining moments from this issue since is really well-developed to the point that it automatically makes you invested into it by delivering a lot of emotional scenes until the end which I won't spoil.
Doug Mahnke remains in art duties and his work is still marvelous with lots of details into the characters and scenarios while being able to depict intense action scenes.
Great stuff, love the direction this book is taking.
