Are you ready to meet the new Oracle?
The person who has been manipulating the Birds of Prey all this time has been revealed and the team doesn't know what to do since they're still have some criminals to caught.
First of all, the identity of the new Oracle is a big disappointment.
It turns out that is just a nobody, a big nobody, just a kid who was a fan of Barbara as Oracle and wanted her to come back one way or another. This is underwhelming because this was supposedly building-up towards a big reveal that would shake the core of the team but both Julie and Shawna Benson didn't exploit that opportunity and instead decided to deliver a pretty anticlimactic resolution to this arc.
Not to say that this issue is terrible. Is still pretty enjoyable in terms of characterization and team dynamics, and even the new kid can be fun at some points which doesn't make me completely hate this issue but there are other instances where the authors complaint so much about trolls and stuff like that and is so heavyhanded that one can't help but think the writers are really bitter about something.
Roge Antonio continues in art duties and his work is still really good looking with vibrant character models and a polished style.
Not the best, not the worst but a letdown nonetheless.
