Some thoughts about Detective Comics #946

How will the heroes from Gotham City defeat the Victim Syndicate?

Batman and his partners are constantly being attacked by the Syndicate and Spoiler doesn't know what to do about it but all of them will to work together to survive.

This was a solid chapter but once again, I'm a bit tired of this storyline.

James Tynion IV delivers a new installment where he focuses mostly on character work and in that regard is pretty enjoyable. There are several scenes concentrating on the different members of the cast and their unique situations based on their backgrounds and how they're connected to the Victim Syndicate which includes some flashbacks to Tim Drake which further develope his character despite of being gone.

On the other hand, I still find the whole influence of the Syndicate on the team pretty dubious, particularly to Spoiler. This might be just me but I really miss the good old fun Stephanie Brown, the one who was able to fight criminals while telling jokes instead of being all angsty and crying all the time. Wish we could see more of that but it simply doesn't fit with Tynion's vision about her.

Eddy Barrows remains in art duties and is pretty impressive in some places with interesting layouts and character expressions.

Not bad at all but I still had some nitpicks and I hope we're close to the end.
