Aquaman will need extra help if he wants to stop Black Manta.
N.E.M.O. continues to launch their attack towards both Atlantis and the surface and not even the Justice League might be able to stop the upcoming war it will cause.
Some things worked, others not so much.
For one, I do enjoy how consistent the pacing of this book is with Dan Abnett continually delivering important pieces of the story in every issue and this one is not exception since there are relevant aspects like the inclusion of the Justice League as well as how both Black Manta and the rest of the antagonists continue to have important scenes.
On the other hand, this is not exactly one of the issues that progressed most of the plot (Contradictory I know). It had a decent amount of content and characterization but at the same time, it feels like Abnett might be extended this particular story a bit too much for the kind of idea he's going for.
Scot Eaton handles the art this time and he has improved a lot being able to offer better looking characters and more precise storytelling.
Not exactly as essential issue but still enjoyable.
