The journey is over.
Two-Face has been manipulating Batman to make what he wants all this time and now he has forced Bruce to make the ultimate choice if he wants to save his own life.
This story has come to an end and thankfully is a pretty satisfying one.
Scott Snyder brings the conclusion of this storyline in the form of an oversized conclusion that perfectly explores the dynamic between Batman and Two-Face. The action scenes are quite engaging, I feel like this is the perfect kind of book for Snyder, one that allows him to exploit his cinematic skills while also delivering deep themes to make it more than just a dumb action movie.
Speaking of which, the character work is really solid since the writer reveals Two-Face's true plans which make a lot of sense considering his own dilemma while connecting him to Batman in a stronger manner which comes to a solution that is simply appropriate. Several other segments contribute to how successful this finale was and as usual, I think that Snyder does know how to portray Jim Gordon at his best.
John Romita Jr. remains in art duties and while his work might seem a bit rough at times, he's still able to depict the action and personal moments nicely.
Strong ending for an entertaining story, best book starring Batman without a doubt.
