Cyborg will have to deal with even more dilemmas.
Variant has betrayed Victor to follow her own ambitions but that's not the only problem since even if he manages to defeat her, he will still have to find out what to do with her.
This issue follows the same course of the whole run I guess.
John Semper Jr. continues this little story about Variant by implementing politics into the mix this time and presenting her motivations related to facism and how it can be mistaken by democracy for some people. That is an interesting topic and is not the only one since Semper also keeps exploring the ideas of humanity and how some of it might be lost due to their own condition which again, present interesting moments of exploration.
Then again, the dialogue can still be pretty overwritten with characters saying more than they should, particularly Variant who strangely starts describing what's happening to her with a lot of detail.
Paul Pelletier returns to artwork and is pretty solid with lots of expressive characters and a clear storytelling technique.
Decent issue but not quite perfect, Semper needs to polish some of his flaws.
