Some thoughts about Superman #21

What happens now that Superman's identity is known by everyone?

Mongul is attacking Clark after learning the truth and Lois has to face her own problems on Earth.

Some interesting aspects in yet another decompressed issue.

Brian Bendis continues his story concerning the truth about Superman and he implements it in different angles including the fight against Mongul and even more importantly, the consequences that Lois has to face because of the years that she got exclusive content for her work because of the fact that her husband was Superman which is a compelling idea that should definitely be explored.

That being said, everything is a pretty fast read and this is especially annoying because some of the early pages are just pure action with very little content while half of the issue is the typical Bendis overwritten scenes that try to compensate for it but makes all out of place instead. There's not a lot of progression whatsoever either.

Ivan Reis remains on art duties and his work is still beautiful, especially during the fight scenes but he's mostly wasted here.

A big mixed bag, shouldn't expect more than that.
