Some thoughts about Justice League #43

How can the Justice League beat the Eradicator?

The Flash has brought everyone to another planet to rob the Daxamites from their powers. Now the battle is finally even but the Eradicator won't stop his mission.

This story comes to a conclusion and it works in quite a few levels.

Robert Venditti brings the end of the Invasion of the Supermen arc playing with his usual strengths. The cliffhanger of the last issue continues in a pretty logical and predictable way with a battle that you pretty much know how is going to unfold but still, it has nice pacing and a few cool moments.

The most interesting aspect is once again the character work, particularly Superman's last conversation with the Eradicator which shows quite a bit of Clark's personality and even the Eradicator's, making the battle finish in a way that feels appropriate. Add some lines that depict the cast properly and you get a satisfying ending.

Doug Mahnke handles the art and his work is excellent with great action scenes and expressive characters.

Solid ending, not a bombastic one but this comes as a breath of fresh air after Scott Snyder's era.
