Some thoughts about Dial H for Hero #8

Whatever happened to Robby Reed?

Something happened to Robby the last time he used the H-Dial, he arrived to the Heroverse but needed an ally to try to help everyone, that person sadly would only cause trouble.

A new issue is here and presents an interesting development.

Sam Humphries offers the revelation about what happened to Robby Reed. The story opens interesting enough by creating a contrast between Robby and Mister Thunderbolt, showing how both ended in their different situations. There are classic elements like Robby's grandfather and what happened to him which forced Robby to have a different outlook in life and try to gain more power from the H-Dial and this creates an interesting parallel with the antagonist.

This contrast becomes even more obvious towards the end of the read once that the identity of Mister Thunderbolt is revealed and puts everything we have known into a new perspective which makes you wonder who is actually who. Not to mention that the style of writing uses a reverse form of storytelling that makes it more interesting to read it again.

Joe Quinones and Paulina Ganucheau handle the art and is pretty solid for the most part with Quinones's more polished style being the best.

Good issue, hope the next one arrives soon.
