Some thoughts about Dial H for Hero #7

Who are the new heroes of Metropolis?

The H-Dial has been creating different superpowered people and all of them have a story to tell.

Just like that description says, this issue is mostly about little stories and I think it works really well in that regard.

Sam Humphries offers a new installment where he creates new characters as superheroes and that allows him to bring new characterization to the table. The chapter opens interestingly enough once that a guy doesn't feel like is good enough for his boyfriend and thus uses the H-Dial to become a beautiful superhero only to discover that his own boyfriend was not as good as he though, the tales ends on a positive note though with the appearance of a LGBT team similar to The Pride. There are also a few other segments that deal with stories about revenge that end in both good and bad terms, the latter being the most interesting one to me.

And of course, the creativity is abundant here thanks to the multiple tones of the stories that go from heartwarming, sad and heartwarming again and really makes you appreciate the variety this book brings.

Of course this wouldn't be possible without the artists and this issue brings the talent of Joe Quinones, Colleen Doran, Michael Avon Oeming, Erica Henderson and Stacey Lee, all of them working nicely during their respective sections and creating an interesting style for all of them.

Great read, can't wait for the next one.
