Some thoughts about Batman & the Outsiders #5

Can the Outsiders stop Ra's Al Ghul?

Black Lightning and Katana are trying to help the new disciple of the Demon but this might have been his plan all along.

Pretty light in content sadly.

Bryan Hill offers a new installment where he plays with the ramifications of the last chapter with Sofia being brainwashed by Ra's. The dynamic between the characters, especially Jefferson and Tatsu, is solidly done which has always been the best part of this series and there's a nice set-up for the battle they're about the have with Sofia.

That being said, most of the issue is devoted to action scenes and there's not much to see beyond that. There's the eventual character moment in the middle of it but is still not enough to make the issue feel less devoid of content and again, it just serves like another set-up for the final battle.

Dexter Soy never disappoints in art duties thanks to his vibrant style that makes every scene, even the fight sections, worth watching.

Aside from that, mostly filler. Let's hope the next one is better.
