Some thoughts about Batman/Superman #19

Realities are bending.

The Archivist of Worlds has taken the World's Finest into different Earths where they will have to do their best to survive.

More of the same I guess.

Gene Luen Yang offers a new chapter where he offers the usual fun, albeit repetitive premise. The idea of Superman and Batman going from a Sci-Fi scenario like Rann along with Alanna Strange just to almost immediately arrive to a Western world to have adventures with El Diablo is pretty entertaining and offers cool moments here and there.

That being said, the plot is starting to lose its fresh tone, particularly because we have already seen similar ideas before and the story barely progressed, it's almost like Yang is dragging this storyarc for the trade or something since there wasn't even as much content as previous chapters.

Emanuela Luppacchino, Steve Lieber and Darick Robertson handle the art and while the first two do a decent job, Robertson simply nails almost every scene he draws with extremely expressive characters and precise storytelling.

Not bad but things better be going somewhere next.
