Can the Justice League control their powers?
The Flash's miscalculations sent the team to a planet where their abilities become increasingly dangerous and things are going to get more complicated once that a powerful enemy arrives.
Yep, back to the usual.
I suppose it was too much to ask for Brian Bendis to deliver two competent issues in a row. To be fair, there are a few interesting aspects going on like the arrival of Hyppolita which allows for a few compelling character moments and there are even decent portrayals here and there over the course of the issue but you can get over that very quickly due that this is an extremely fast read.
Bendis' decompression gets really irritating here with most of the chapter dedicated to the typical "Bendis' action segment to fill-up pages" and just like with most of those segments, there's barely anything interesting about it, at least Geoff Johns does something like that he makes the fight scene engaging to see. Plus, I don't really like how stupid Barry was portrayed here since is basically his fault that the team is about to die (Then again, Bendis has not been good at portraying Barry right since he arrived to DC).
Also, what's up with that cover? Nothing there represents what happens in this issue.
David Marquez is a damn fine artist at least, beautiful characters and creative storytelling.
Is a shame that Ram V has to share a title with Bendis since his work is way better. Justice League Dark delivers the amount of characterization, content and worldbuilding that I wish was present in the main feature, really consistent work. Xermanico's artwork is equally good with a great skill at following the script.
This seriously needs a change, hoping for a new creative team soon.
