Some thoughts about Strange Adventures #10

Alanna Strange is about to learn the truth.

Mr. Terrific has just sent a letter to Alanna, a letter that will make her understand the role that Adam has been playing all this time, something he has been hiding even from her.

Yep, we're finally getting there.

Tom King is closing the door on this series by giving us some shocking revelations. The format of this particular chapter is based around a letter that Michael writes due to all the things that happened during the last issue, a letter that escalates with each new sentence, giving little hints about where is actually going and ultimately delivering a secret that hits both Alanna and us the readers really powerfully. Is something that's actually much more surprising that what I was expecting, showing how Adam might actually be worse than we actually thought.

This once again contrasts to the adventurous tone of the past sections that portray the war against Rann as classic sci-fi action, depicting each scene as something pretty predictable to make the present look much more grey and cruel.

Mitch Gerads and Doc Shaner once again work in their respective sections as precisely as possible, contributing with each other's tones in a way that flows extremely well and elevate the script even more.

Great read. God, Alanna is going to be pissed next issue.
